GPS and GNSS projects

GNSS network

In the month of September 2008 launched a project to build and develop a network of GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite Systems). The network consists of 30 reference stations and covers the whole territory of the country.

Equipment for this network and its software are purchased by Trimble - one of the leading manufacturers of geodesic and measuring equipment.

This project has national importance and would make maximum use of all possibilities of GNSS, to facilitate work in the sphere of:

  • Survey and Cadastre;
  • Construction equipment and linear objects;
  • Deformation monitoring;
  • Research activities related to the study of geodynamic processes;
  • Systems alert when natural disasters and accidents;
  • Public sector services;
  • Cartographic and GIS applications, management and control of transport and others.

The network allows on its base, to develop quality systems in the transport sector to monitor and track vehicles.
